A YSL Masterclass with Hello October

A couple weeks ago I headed back to Glasgow for an afternoon with the gorgeous Suzie, to take a complexion masterclass with YSL and learn about the products she loves. Here's a little recap of the afternoon and a rundown of the makeup I walked away with...

I was super nervous when I stepped off the train to a very rainy Glasgow, as I've never been to a blogging event and I was also by myself. But straight away I was met with the lovely makeup artists, fellow attendees, and Suzie herself, and it wasn't long until I felt as ease chatting away to everyone. After a brief chat through the products that Suzie uses, we rid our base makeup and set to applying them all. I'm pretty comfortable with applying makeup (clearly) but it was so nice getting tips and tricks from the makeup artists, and learning about YSL products as I've only tried a few previously. All the while we were chatting away with Suzie and each other, it was such a lovely afternoon! It's something I would totally take part in again, I always love chatting makeup.

In terms of the makeup, I do have to say I was completely impressed. The few products I've tried from YSL I have loved, so I was pleased that there were so many other products that worked so well. I found everything super easy and comfortable to wear, and my skin looked pretty amazing by the end of it - if I do say so myself! It was a pretty tough decision on what to buy at the end of the event, but I ended up going for the Touche Eclat Le Teint Foundation and the Touche Eclat Glow Shot in shade 2. We were also gifted with a makeup bag, the Black Opium Floral Shock perfume, the Touche Eclat Blur Primer, and foundation samples for good measure. It's also worth adding that these were good samples, not your usual little freebies.

I'm sure I'll end up writing about the products I bought in more detail, but essentially, think: super glowy, amazing coverage but lightweight, and long lasting. And I've got to give Suzie another shout-out; she was such a delight to meet and a woman I've admired for years, so it was such a pleasure to meet her. I could really tell that when she was thanking us for coming that it was sincere, and I feel strangely proud to have followed her blogging journey. Hopefully I'll get the chance to meet her again in the future!
