Everyday Makeup Loves

Here's a simple post for you, the makeup I'm currently wearing most days! In short, I've been enjoying a simple but bronzy base, a sheer wash of pearly colour over the eyes, and a pinky nude lip. It's the kind of look that suits most occasions, and can be amped up with a stronger lip or winged liner if you want to take it from day to night...

So, my favourite base which should come as no surprise to you is the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream. I've raved about it enough around here, but essentially it's a super light base that actually has pretty decent coverage, and has to be my favourite finish out of every foundation I've tried - nice and glowy without being overly shiny. For more glow, though, I adore the YSL Touche Eclat Glow Shot in Shade 3. The rose gold colour is perfect for adding a subtle glow on the high points of the face, and I find it actually looks really natural and healthy. To add that bronze I want, I've been using the L'Oreal Glam Bronze Cushion de Soleil. Because this formula is so thin it creates the most natural sunkissed look. Every one of these base products I take on my Beauty Blender, because it just creates the most seamless and natural look!

I feel like I haven't mentioned brows on this blog in a while, but for the past few months I've been using Benefit's Ka-Brow! Cream Gel. I apply it with the brush provided, and use it to fill in my brows and add a little more definition to the end of my brows, and I love the look it leaves me with. I do wish the colour was slightly less warm (I have Shade 3) but I think Shade 4 might be a tad too dark for me unless I have a really light hand! I quite like using a pomade because it means I have have quite natural brows most days, but add a bit more colour on days where I'm feeling a stronger brow.

For eyes, like I said, I've been enjoying a sheer sweep of an opalescent colour. My favourite for this is New Perspective from the Tanya Burr Cosmetics My Escape Palette. This pale shimmer has a peachy pink tone and it looks lovely on its own. It doesn't provide a huge amount of colour, but the shimmery effect is so so pretty. If I want to amp it up then I'll add a pop of Vermeer from the Anastasia Modern Renaissance Palette to the centre of my lids, but most days I just go for the one shadow. I find that a sheer colour plus mascara has such a fresh and pretty effect.

Last and by no means least comes those finishing touches - lipstick and fragrance. Sadly you can't buy it any more, but I'm loving the MAC x Fleur de Force Lipstick. It's such a natural colour that is a perfect slightly brown nude for me, and the creamsheen formula is delight to wear. And my favourite fragrance right now has to be the Zoella Beauty Sweet Inspirations Fragranced Body Mist. I'm a bit late to the game with this one but I love the vanilla scent and it sticks around for so long! What's more, at only £8 I don't mind dousing myself in it and smelling of a macaroon all day.
