It's summer! Sort of. Scotland keeps going through day-long heatwaves followed by rain and a drop in 10 degrees the next day. However, I've still been compiling a list of summery clothes that I've been lusting after. I like to think my picks are quite sensible - being relatively covered up with trousers and jumpsuits which work for drearier days, but using light materials that are still lovely and breezy when the temperature climbs.

It's always a difficult question to answer - what season do you prefer dressing for? After a lot of thought, and the realisation that I had been browsing ASOS and Topshop for hours, it came to me - I love winter fashion. The cosy jumpers and coats and boots, yes, but also the party wear. Here's a wishlist for you, the items I'm lusting after, and a few I've already bought...
I've never really been one for wishlists but as I was browsing ASOS and dreaming up some blog posts, I thought I would just merge the two! Here are the pieces I'm wishing for - still bright enough to hang onto summer, but moving away from the minimal fabric into something more comfortable for autumn...
Boohoo have this handy holiday shop set up on their website, where all Summer clothes are bundled together for you to easily browse! Sadly, I'm not going abroad this year (I'm travelling to various places in the UK) so although I can dress summery, I can't quite go the full hog, y'know? But, I wanted to showcase the holiday shop somehow - so here is my "this is what I would buy if I were going somewhere scorching" wishlist!
You may notice that I always seem to wear the same accessories in outfit posts. This is because I'm not a huge accessories shopper, as I prefer to head straight for the clothing. This post, however, is a wishlist I have created of jewellery and bags from brand new shop Marie Belle which I've got my eye on this season...
I love the selection of bags and jewellery (in particular the necklaces, as you can see) from Marie Belle, it's totally up my street! I'm meant to be cutting back on my spending but that Ellie bag is looking better by the second... Not to mention, it's all affordable, with the most expensive handbag being only £25. The website only opened yesterday and Marie Belle were kind enough to give me a discount code for you all - enter MBEMILOUE10 to get 10% off your order! The code expires on the 31/05/14 and a few items have already sold out, so get shopping!
