I was definitely spoiled this Christmas, but I'm not going to do a full What I Got For Christmas post this year because, to be honest, I didn't get anything too wow-worthy. That's not to say that the gifts weren't lovely, because they were! - it's just that they were things like money, books or socks.

Christmas needs glitter, and so I decided to purchase this Oh My Love number to wear on the day. Although not pictured, I paired it with some chunky black boots to tone the dress down a little, and accompanied it with some simple jewellery and golden makeup!

OTT nails, obviously. Just a quick nail post today to share my most recent venture into Christmassy glittery sequin nail goodness! After a few quick coats of Essie's Bordeaux I followed up with some tricky placements of these gorgeous holographic hearts - which I picked up in Urban Outfitters but can not find anywhere, sorry! A top coat follows and then I'm done.

It's a little out there but when Christmas rolls around I adore having something shiny on me at all times. I can see this mani coming back round for Christmas Day - I love it!
I've documented a hair chop or two on this blog before, but this is probably the biggest change I've had in a long time! I got a basic trim, but then took the plunge and had a little dye job too.

As you all know, I'm not the biggest nail art person - I genuinely just prefer the look of plain nail colours. However, sometimes the mood strikes me and I want to add a little more. Recently I was playing about with some more seasonal colours and this happened!

Finally I am coming at you with a Makeup Revolution review! While my blog has been on the back burner, I've been testing out the products I was sent, and now I finally have time to talk about them.

When my family came to visit me at university the other week on a sunny but very breezy day, I knew it would be the perfect opportunity to take this cosy Blue Vanilla* jumper out for a spin. We went for a wander around the town and I found some beautiful buildings I'd never seen before - pretty shocking really, since I've been living away from home for two months now! Anyway, back to the clothes.
When the first batch of Rimmel Apocalips came out, I was intrigued but didn't give into the hype. At the time I wasn't a big fan of really bright colours on the lips. However, after finding out they had come out with a matte version of the liquid lipstick, and then spotting the gorgeous colour Meteoric Matte, I had to get it as soon as possible.

Long time no outfit post, eh? It was my little sister's 14th birthday this week and so we went to the Hard Rock Cafe in Glasgow to celebrate. I loved the meal and atmosphere as always - singing along with your food and cocktails makes the experience so much more enjoyable!

When moving to university, I soon realised that I needed a little spot to myself to chill in. The communal kitchen/living room area always has at least one other person in there, the desk in my room doubles up as a work space and makeup station, and so all I had left was my bed.

Did anyone else start singing Rack City in their heads? Just me? Okay. Today I thought I'd introduce you to this corner of my room, where I keep this clothing rail. University halls aren't huge and so I (rightly) guessed that I would need to bring some extra storage for my wardrobe. Not wanting to put clothes in boxes, I opted for this rack from Home Bargains.

There was recently a student night at my local shopping centre, and some damage was made. Surprisingly, only one makeup purchase was made, and so now I can introduce you to the beauty that is Urban Decay's Pulp Fiction Eyeshadow Palette.

It may not be well known on my blog, but I am a little cat obsessed. Sadly, I've never been allowed one as a pet, so it appears I must live vicariously through my accessories.

A little while  ago DSA contacted me and asked if I would like to be sent a box of goodies. DSA own several brands with less-than-usual selling methods, the most well known probably being AVON (although apparently as I'm writing this, they have actually left the company - oops). Well, a while passed and I moved to university and completely forgot about it, until my mum turned up to visit me with a HUGE box of stuff. Seriously, there's so much!

If you are a list maker like me, you may want to search for some Knock Knock stationery. I found these in Waterstones and use them all the time!

I moved to university on Saturday and so life has been a little (a lot) hectic recently! As I don't have time to supply you with a well thought out post right now, I thought I would quickly update you on some products I'm currently testing. I'm sure these will all be reviewed at some point, so call this a little taster of what is to come!

Another pair of black chunky heeled boots, Emily? Really? - I have no excuses except that I saw a £10 off discount code and all of a sudden an order was placed.

I haven't tried much Soap & Glory makeup, but I was completely drawn in by the colour of this lipstick. I'm not typically a matte gal, but a berry that isn't too deep and can be worn daytime or nighttime? I had to have it.

This isn't the most exciting of hauls but everyone needs basics! As I'm heading to university this week, I picked myself up some items I can wear with multiple outfits. I'm quite bad at buying myself basics so this was a well needed trip!

Summer is sadly now drawing to a close so I've been trying to wear these as much as I can. Romwe had one of their flash sales about a month ago on these black lace trim shorts and as I had been lusting after a very similar pair from Ark, I decided to snap these up for around £6.
