My Favourite Way to Tan

It's only in the last couple years that I've really got into fake tan, and only in the past six months or so that I've been applying it regularly. I don't have a problem with my pale skin at all, but I find I just feel much happier and look healthier with a tan! So, here's the one I've been besotted with...

I can't remember where I first heard about the Bondi Sands Liquid Gold Self Tanning Dry-Oil, but I sincerely thank whoever it was! This is a tan that is super easy to apply (win), you don't need to wash off (win), smells of coconut (win), and looks so natural and not at all orange (win win win!). I was a little wary of an oil as a tanner but it's honestly amazing - being a dry oil, it sinks into the skin really quickly so there's no long-lasting sticky feeling, and it develops quite quickly too. You can also apply more than one layer at a time without risking looking over-the-top.

To apply, I'll jump into the shower and exfoliate, jump out and moisturise, and then sweep this over my body with a mitt. I spray a few times onto each limb at a time and work it into the skin. The colour of the oil is a dark brown but once blended it sinks into the skin unnoticed until it develops over the next few hours. Because you don't need to wash it off after a few hours or the next morning I don't find it a hassle to apply which means I actually keep up with tanning regularly. I'd say the colour lasts around a week, but quite often I'll tan a few days in a row so that it lasts a bit longer - and I look much more bronzed, of course!

Now, I'm naturally pale so I'll admit that when I apply tan I don't go too dark compared to lots of other people. But I think this would be an amazing option for anyone to give a shot, as it's just so easy and smells really nice for a fake tan! I find that my skin never looks dry while using it either, and when it fades it fades evenly, rather than leaving me patchy. For £15 it's pretty reasonably priced, and I find that the bottle lasts much longer than mousse tanners. I'm a fan!
