In classic blogger fashion, I bought the NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Sandstorm after seeing Zoe Sugg wearing it in a video, in the hopes that I would look just as warm and bronzed. Alas, I did not. I found that it just looked a bit too off on me, despite being told by my sister that I suited it. It was kicked off to the side for my usual picks, until one day I decided to try again.
Instead of applying it as expected, I chose to scrape all of the excess formula off, and to use the doe-foot applicator lightly. The effect left by this is a semi-sheer look - it is still brown, but my natural lip colour shows through just a little which adds some warm and wearability. Sure, it's not the intended use but hey, I like it! It's also worth noting that this has to be the only liquid lipstick I've tried that doesn't dry out my lips or feel uncomfortable to wear. Wins all round.
