Review // Dirty Looks Hair Extensions

Last month, Dirty Looks interviewed me on their blog as part of their Hair Talk series with bloggers. After chatting all things hair (I spoke about milkmaid braids a few times too many) they kindly asked if I would like to be sent a set of hair extensions to review, so of course I said yes!

The HK Extensions* arrived in a pretty lilac box, complete with thorough instructions (and a lolly) and a sample weft to check that the colour matches. I asked for a second opinion on which colour I should get, and was pleased to see that, just by looking at pictures of me, the Dirty Looks team matched me perfectly with the shade Melted Chocolate!

As you know, I recently chopped my hair into a blunt mid-length cut. Because of this I went for the 12-14" extensions (the shortest length) as I wanted them to add volume rather than length. They still extend the length of my hair a few inches, while creating lots of lovely effortless volume in seconds. I've worn extensions before but didn't actually own a set before now, and I can honestly say these are excellent. They feel incredibly lightweight and natural and clip into the hair securely, without any irritation. My natural hair is quite blunt so you can sort of see it, but I personally think it just looks as if I have layers cut into my hair. I should also note that this isn't every single weft, as I have quite a small head!

I probably won't wear these for everyday use, but for special occasions (or for when I get those milkmaid braid cravings that I can't subdue with this haircut) I know I'll be picking these up!
